Via Hi-Fructose:  “Though scientific discoveries and technology shape our perception and beliefs, Western society’s classical foundations have survived well into the Internet era. Archetypes from Greco-Roman and Judeo-Christian mythology influence the kinds of stories we tell about ourselves and each other — both in interpersonal interactions and in the media. On July 14, Modern Eden in San Francisco will open “Myth,” an international group show at allows a diverse line-up of artists to interpret the myths of their choice.  The opening reception for “Myth” will be held at Modern Eden on Saturday, July 14th from 6-10pm. The exhibition will be on display through August 5, 2012 and is free and open to the public. Complimentary drinks will be served and there will be a live DJ set during the reception. Exhibiting artists will be in attendance.
